I stopped in to pickup my order, I did not really get a good view of the interior, but I remember it feeling cozy. The door had one of those bells that chime when someone walks in, and it made me feel nostalgic for some reason. The person at the front was nice and handed my order to me when I told her my name. The whole vibe of the little restaurant is very casual and laid back. The food was delicious! I got the pancit bihon with shrimp as the meat. The noodles were so flavorful and cooked perfectly; it did get a little salty at times, but the lime and veggies helped cut through the saltiness. The veggies were not over cooked, and the shrimp was clean and cooked perfectly as well!! I can't really describe the flavor, but it tasted so good, and I seriously want some more now. Overall, I loved it! I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu, and maybe dine inside next time!

Traveling from Dallas, and looked for a Filipino spot. Came across this place on yelp, what attracted me was their halo halo, but the crispy pata was OMG.. delicious, crispy and prefect. I took it back home to Dallas to share with my family. I also witnessed them preforming happy birthday to a customer. So much fun and lively!

Being Filipino but don't cook Filipino food, it's a treat to find a restaurant worthy of the equivalent of home cooked meal. Such is this eatery in a busy shopping center with HEB. The food is good and the serving is big enough for another meal. I went after lunch and there were hardly anybody eating there. It was after the lunch rush. The ambiance is nice, homey and very clean. This was fist visit and after checking it out that day, I will try and come back whenever I can. I don't live in SA full time so I'll eat there when I can. Overall, this is a wonderful place to eat my kind of Filipino food. I will bring my wife who is very fond of lumpia and pancit!

I am not new to Filipino food but always had it at my good friend's house. The food here was delicious. I called my friend to tell her know that this restaurant did a great job! :) I would get everything again. All the dishes were delectable. Seasoning was just perfect. The pork belly roll was a special hit. If you are not sure what to get, they can give you recommendations. Honestly you can't go wrong. I would like to try their Palabok. That's another one that I normally enjoy.

A few weekends ago, my fiancé and I decided to visit Kabayan Kusina for brunch. As someone from Manila, he was eager to experience dishes that reminded him of local flavors. The location was convenient, and the restaurant offered ample seating, making it a comfortable spot for lunchtime patrons. Our experience was outstanding. We ordered the chicken adobo, lumpia, BBQ pork appetizers, and chicken pancit. The variety of dishes provided a delightful mix of traditional favorites and unique flavors, each cooked to perfection and bursting with authenticity. While the food was delicious, I did notice that the prices for appetizers were on the higher side. Given the current economic challenges, I tend to prefer dining at home, but the flavors and quality here made the experience worthwhile. The customer service was equally commendable. The staff was warm, attentive, and proactive in ensuring we had an excellent dining experience. They took the time to explain dishes I wasn't familiar with and offered thoughtful recommendations, which added to the overall enjoyment. For anyone looking for authentic Filipino cuisine paired with exceptional service, Kabayan Kusina is an excellent choice. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu! Highly recommended~

This place is delicious! We got the pork ssig and Pancit Palabok ($15). The pork ssig was phenomenal! I loved the pork belly. It was slightly charred, which gave it a crispy texture. But the interior was still chewy and not too tough. I love how the rice gets smothered with the over easy egg and mayo. The lime juice is prominent and helps balance out the fatty pork belly. The pancit palabok featured a very delicious shrimp gravy sauce and crispy chicharron. Each bite was so flavorful! The service was really friendly. I thought the prices were reasonable. Will definitely be taking my friends here!

I could eat here every day. Pleasantly surprised by this nondescript establishment, this place is putting out delicious filipino cuisine at an affordable cost! Some may disagree with me on the cost but inflation is inflating so these prices are to be expected. The service is friendly and welcoming and it's super clean. They carry a few snack items to take home with you although I did not take a pic of what they offer... I ordered the fried Bangus fish and it was so so good I ate it all and had zero leftovers. The seating is limited so there may be a wait but I promise you it'll be worth it. You must try this spot!!
